"The outlook is good. [We are] really confident that he's going to play a key capacity. Hopefully it's the first Test. If not, we'll reassess."

All-rounder Cameron Green was excluded lately from the national team for their ODI contests against the subcontinent side as a preventive step because of discomfort in his torso.
Bailey described it as a "minor" injury and confirmed that he'll feature in the domestic first-class competition, so will be "ideally positioned to deliver overs."
"We put so much time has gone into creating the schedule for him to participate for the opening match as an batting and bowling option," the selector detailed.
"He was only going to play the first two ODIs in any case. The way he swings the bat in limited-overs, should it hinder progress for 24 more hours, we just made the decision to adopt a safer strategy."
